WVFSL’s Guide to Mobile Banking

Your life is always on the go.  It is a constant juggling act between work and family.  Sometimes it’s impossible to remember everything on your schedule, never mind taking the time to take care of your banking!  This is why, Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan makes banking easier with our Mobile App.  

Through our mobile app, you have many of the capabilities of being at the bank and in turn, it alleviates some of the stress of your everyday life.  Gone are the days where you have to rush to the bank after work or sacrifice your lunch break to get your banking errands done.    

To some this type of technology is foreign and intimidating, so we wanted to give you a run down on how to take advantage of this feature.

Before you begin your mobile banking experience, you have to sign up for online banking.  This will allow you to create a username and password for both online and mobile banking.  Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how to sign up for online banking at Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan:

  1. Open your Internet Browser.
  2. Type in www.wallkill.com into the address bar at the top of the page.
  3. Click on “Online Banking Login” in the top right corner of the homepage.
  4. If you are registering for your personal bank account, click Register-Consumer.  This is located just below the box labeled “Please enter your User ID.”
  5. If you are registering for your business bank account, click Register-Business.  This is located just below the box labeled “Please enter your User ID.”
  6. Carefully read through the Terms and Conditions and click “Agree” once you are finished.
  7. Fill out the registration page with all the required information.  Once you have completed, click the submit button in the bottom right corner.

You have officially registered for online banking!  Next you need to…

  1. Enter your User ID and Password, then click Submit.
  2. Enter your email and enter again to confirm.  Click change.
  3. Sign into your home banking with your User ID and Password.
  4. Choose your challenge questions and answers, or choose to do this at a later time.

Remember to create a strong password that is not easy to guess and to change it every six months to prevent hackers from getting into your account.

Once you’ve signed up for online banking or if you had signed up previously, you have to download the Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan app in order to access your account from your phone and take advantage of mobile app features.  The app will work for both iPhone and Android phones.  To download follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the iTunes App store on an iPhone or the Google Play Store on an Android device.
  2. Type in Wallkill Valley Federal Mobile in the search bar.
  3. Click on the Wallkill Valley Federal Mobile logo and hit download.
  4. Once downloaded, open up the app on your phone and log in using the same log in credentials that you would to log into online banking.
