have always featured “check truncation” where
your cancelled checks are safe kept rather than returned
to you each month. If you opt for Check imaging,
you will receive images of your cancelled checks along
with your monthly statement. How will this benefit

What are check images?
- Check
images are pictures of your cancelled checks that
have been scanned and printed in numerical order,
then mailed to you in your monthly statement.
Wallkill Valley Federal will also be
storing the information from each check in their
computer system as well.
What does check imaging cost?
- Check
imaging is available to you for a modest $ 3.00
monthly fee.
Are check images accepted as legal proof of
payment?
- Yes!
The IRS, Federal Reserve, courts of law,
merchants and local and state governments accept
check images as valid proof of payment.
